The Muzzled Henry Halley

Thank God for Henry Halley and his (original) Bible handbook.

He would certainly say something if he could. He has been gone from us many years now. And his family and friends at Zondervan Publishing have taken it upon themselves to revise him.

You see, Halley's is a double-edged sword, with its financial edge being most effective. Halley continues to sell books for Zondervan. His research into the history and archaeology of the Bible have become standards of the Handbook industry. They didn't revise that.

But Henry Halley was also a historian. As in Church History. As in Romanist persecution in the Middle Ages. Rome freely admits its mistakes of the Middle Ages, but refuses to allow Mr. Halley to do so.

And as is the case with many evangelical powerhouses, someone has gotten to the Zondervan enterprise. Who says Medieval Religion is dead? The power it wields on hearts and minds worldwide is still mighty. There has been only one worldwide empire from the days of the Caesars until now.

That Medieval but modern power has corrupted evangelists, authors, seminaries. It was only a matter of time before someone would call the local priest, who would call the bishop, who would call the Pope, to complain about Halley's view of church history. Page after page of the original Halley documents the evils of the medieval church. From early infidels to the union of church and state to the depths of papal degradation, Halley covers it all.

Try to find any of that in the Halley's (so called) now in your local Christian bookstore(25th edition). Revised. Erased. Cleansed. Halley is now a mouse who speaks what is proper and nice. No one is to be offended by Halley. No one is to hurt our sales.

Shame on those who have yielded to this nonsense. God give us men who will continue to say to the church, Protestant or Catholic, and to false religion, too, what needs to be said. God raise up 100 Halleys to print 100 true histories of Christendom!

http://chosunhouse.com is a website I put together a few months back to get the word out to believers that they need to pray for North Korea. I have created over 200 blogs and the site features a live news feed, lists of resources, picture essays, and ways to respond to the overwhelming need in North Korea. Let's love Chosun together! Contact me any time at diakonos5@yahoo.com

And who am I? A man found of God over 50 years ago, called to the ministry, serving the Lord as needed in my world. Married, member of a local church in the Chicago area, with full time work in public education. I love to write Scriptural works. Who are you? Would love to fellowship with believers who respond.
